FIRST Dates star Adam Carroll has revealed he has had two brain operations in one week.
The lovable lad first opened up about his ordeal during a date on the show last month with Leena, telling her: “The last thing I was expecting from a work trip to New York was two brain surgeries in a week!”

He has now opened up what happened, while for The Brain Tumour Charity by running the Hackney Half on Sunday.
The IT worker, who also , revealed he was in New York on a work trip in June of last year when he fell ill.
He told “I’d been there for a week and was chatting to someone at their desk."
“Suddenly, I felt an immense pressure in my head and everything looked cloudy. I tried to speak but it felt like my tongue was swollen and I couldn’t get the words out.

"Then I blacked out and collapsed on the floor. When I came round, I was surrounded by paramedics.”
Following an MRI scan, he was told he had a brain tumour and a biopsy revealed he had a grade 3 (cancerous) glioma.
His dad flew out to be by his side and was with him when he had further surgery to remove 95 cent of the tumour.
Once back in the UK, he had six weeks of daily radiotherapy before being put on a year course of chemotherapy tablets, which is due to end in October.

“My last scan was in February and my consultant said he couldn’t have been happier with the results,” Adam added.
“It showed up something tiny, which may be a blood vessel. But it’s very much a waiting game from scan to scan.”
Adam is still looking for love. His has stayed in touch with Leena, but only as friends after they appeared on the Channel 4 dating show.
