JOE McElderry is barely recognisable after bleaching his hair bright blonde.
The X Factor champ was determined to make the most of the British sunshine when he debuted the results of his trip to the salon on Instagram.
Flashing a dazzling smile, the 27-year-old singer joked alongside the snap: "All this suns gone to my head!"
His followers couldn't believe their eyes and a debate kicked off over his new tresses.
While some loved it, others wailed at the loss of his "thick brown hair".
An admirer wrote: "I really like your new hair colour. The sunglasses are nice as well."
But one moaned: "No. Just no. Lovely hair as it was thick brown."
Another fan insisted: "You could dye your hair pink and still look gorgeous! Love it"
Others laughed at the frenzy over his hair and said: "Seems the world and his wife have got an opinion on your hair! X"
Joe was last seen looking trim and traditional on the Olivier Awards red carpet in May.
Since winning The X Factor in 2009 with fellow Geordie Cheryl as his mentor, Joe has become a star of the stage.
He fronted the touring production of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
He also won daredevil reality show The Jump in 2014.

At the time, he hit back at trolls with a topless selfie.
He said: "If I was that size I would have owned it and said 'yes that’s what I look like' but I didn't."
