Amber Davies’s mum says she was more disappointed to see her daughter smoking than having sex on Love Island

AMBER Davies's mum Sue has lifted the lid on what it is like to watch your child on Love Island.
But surprisingly, she has admitted it was harder to see her daughter smoking than having sex on TV.
Amber, 21, won last year's series of the hit ITV show alongside her then-boyfriend Kem Cetinay and, despite vowing not to do the deed on national telly, she broke her promise within a week.
But speaking to the, mental health nurse Sue has said she was more upset about seeing her daughter puffing away on a cigarette.
She said: "The rule was no sex on TV, and she obviously did that within the first week.
"But nothing gets shown. People would say, ‘Oh she’s had sex on TV,’ but you don’t see anything."
Chatting about her daughter's smoking habit, however, she added: "She’s not been brought up in a smoking environment.
“In some ways that was the only time I felt, 'Please don’t do that, I don’t want you to.'
"But she’s 21, she can make her own decisions."
This year, Love Island bosses have banned the cast from smoking inside the villa.
If a contestant wants to light up, they must go to a designated smoking area outside alone, in a bid to stop others taking up the habit due to the social element.
The crackdown has come after Ofcom received a huge flurry of complaints last year about the Islanders puffing away on screen.
Ahead of the 2018 series kicking off, a spokesman for the show said: "There will be no smoking within the Love Island villa or the villa garden this year."
Meanwhile, earlier this week a new report claimed that producers "want to axe sex scenes" too, in an effort to stop the show becoming "too smutty".
claimed bosses are trying to avert attention from the sex in the villa for fears it could become too much like Geordie Shore.
An insider told the newspaper: "ITV are keen for Love Island to be considered an entertainment show, rather than a sex fest.
"They want it to be about entertainment, not romps!"
A show spokesman, meanwhile, told The Sun Online: "The show isn't about sex, it's about following the couples' journeys and relationships."
Amber, however, believes that there IS still action going on underneath the covers.
In her exclusive Sun column, she wrote: "There hasn’t been much [sex] has there? There’s nothing!
