Demi Lovato’s ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas holds hands with fiancée Sophie Turner after the singer was hospitalised for suspected drug overdose
DEMI Lovato's ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas has been spotted for the first time with fiancee Sophie Turner after he asked fans to pray for the singer following her overdose.
The 28-year-old was downcast and his face said it all as he held hands with the Game of Thrones star during their stroll in New York today.
Sophie, 21, looked glum, and she seemed to have a lot on her mind following the news that pop star Demi, 25, had been rushed to hospital a reported heroin overdose.
Joe grabbed Sophie's hand and they were accompanied by two female friends.
The sighting comes after the pop star and his brother Nick asked fans to pray for their friend on Twitter.
He wrote: "Like all of you I am thinking of @DDLovato right now.
"She needs our prayers and support. We all know how strong you are Demi #prayfordemi."
His younger brother Nick, 25, also shared a heartfelt message on Twitter.
"I am reeling at the news about Demi.
"All of us love her and need to pray for her to get well. She is a fighter #prayfordemi.
Their older brother Kevin was likewise devastated by the news and on his own account added: "Sending my prayers and thoughts to @ddlovato and her family right now."
Demi is awake and in a stable condition after being hospitalised, according to US reports.
She was found unconscious on Tuesday and taken to a medical centre in Los Angeles.
A representative for Demi told she is being supported by her loved ones.
The spokesperson said: "Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support.
"Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy."
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Demi was treated with Narcan, which is an emergency medication used to reverse the effects of drug overdoses.

Initially, these sources told TMZ that Demi had overdosed on heroin, but other sources said to be close to the singer have suggested to that this is not the case.
In 2016, Demi opened up about her struggles with drugs to American Way magazine and said she "self-medicated with [prescription drug] Oxycontin, cocaine and alcohol."
According to UsWeekly, Narcan was kept on hand at her home "in case something like this happened".
Sophie and Joe announced their engagement last Octover.
