Popular ITV show left some fans open-mouthed following a slew of risqué jokes
BIG Star’s Little Star fans were left stunned after Stephen Mulhern made a series of X-rated jokes on this evening’s show.
The programme features celebrities and their children as they try and win money for their chosen charities.
In tonight’s episode, Stacey Solomon appeared alongside Jenny Powell and John Thomson.
While viewers appeared to be enjoying the show, some took offence at some of the risqué comments made by Stephen, Stacey, Jenny and John.
The jokes included Stephen asking whether one of Jenny’s neighbours had a “semi”.
As the celebs burst out laughing, Jenny answered: “He’s actually got four storeys…”
There were also jokes about “sleeping with the man next door” and “sticky fingers”.
In another skit, Jenny’s shopping list, which had been written by her daughter, appeared on screen with the word “c**k”.
The audience burst out laughing as Jen explained: “She meant to write chicken” but not everyone found it funny.
One viewer tweeted: “Considering it's a kids show and pre-watershed, halfway through and there's already been a few sexual references; semi, c**k, deep and sticky and he puts his finger in and licks it.”
Another moaned: “Crude @ITV #BigStarsLittleStar makes a ‘semi’ joke, a c**k reference and sleeping with the fella next door. At 7pm.
“Am I just a prude or is this acceptable nowadays @Ofcom.”
One fan quipped: “No Knickers? Bit inappropriate!”
Earlier this month Stephen, 41, admitted he’d be too scared to go on the show if he had children.
And he revealed one female celebrity had been left red-faced after their child let out their big secret.
He explained: The question for one child was: ‘Tell me something about mummy that daddy doesn’t know!’ and the response was: ‘I’ve got to keep mummy’s secret’. So I asked: ‘Oh, what’s the secret?’
“To which, the little girl responded: ‘I mustn’t ever tell daddy when this certain man calls.’
“The people listening in the gallery were in complete shock because names were mentioned about just who this ‘gentleman’ might be.
“It's safe to say what the little girl told us will NEVER see the light of day on screen!”
