Co-lean sales

Coleen Nolan sold less than a quarter of seats on UK solo tour before cancelling all her shows and quitting Loose Women

The 53-year-old was due to begin her run in 2019 and had promised to give audiences "a night to remember"

COLEEN Nolan's Never Too Late tour had only sold a quarter of tickets when the singer decided to cancel it following the abuse she's received for her row on Loose Women with Kim Woodburn.

The nationwide run was set to begin January 2019 but was axed in the aftermath of the blazing argument which saw TV cleaner Kim storm off set.

Yesterday Coleen, 53, announced she is taking an immediate hiatus following the backlash that came after her run-in with the How Clean Is Your House star live on air.

She only announced the tour at the weekend and had been re-tweeting messages from fans who had booked tickets.

But she’s now revealed it is on ice and that she’s stepping out of the spotlight.

The statement from her team read: “Following the constant online bullying, trolling and misrepresentation of her words and reactions, it is with sad regret that Coleen is taking an immediate hiatus from all her current commitments including Loose Women and postponing her Never Too late solo concert tour.

“Coleen is devastated to let her supporters and fans down, but is currently not strong enough to withstand this constant unfounded online abuse, so she will be taking time out and spending it with her children and family where she feels loved and respected.”

Earlier this week Coleen denied she was taking a break from Loose Women but she has now backtracked on this.

Today she pulled out of a planned appearance on the series before releasing the statement hours later.

Over 25,000 people called for her to be sacked from the hit ITV daytime show following the row with Kim.

The pair had come face to face on screen for the first time since their feud started on Celebrity Big Brother last year.

During Kim’s appearance she started crying while discussing her "very sad" and "brutal" childhood.

But she became upset as she spoke because Coleen could be heard whispering: "We got this every day as well."

Kim ended up calling Coleen "lying trash" and a "piece of filth" before storming off the set after a heated row.

She broke down during an interview on This Morning this week and said she was sorry for what had happened during her row with 76-year-old Kim.

Crying, Coleen explained: “Honestly I don’t know what to say.

“If I could go back in time I would change the whole thing because it was never meant to be like that.

"I honestly, genuinely thought that it was… she was coming on to make amends, that’s what I was told that was going to happen.

“And then we were going to have a laugh about it and make amends.

“So it was like, let’s put it to bed, let’s have a laugh about it, let’s make amends.

“And it didn’t go that way, obviously, from the moment she came out.

“And I have to say, it was so shocking, genuinely shocking, for all of us. None of us wanted that. I don’t like to see anybody in that much distress, how she was in the end.

"And it was just one of those things. It’s been the worst week of my life, actually. I’m so sorry.”
