Peep Show boss reveals Danny Dyer was originally supposed to play iconic drug casualty Super Hans
Producers originally had the TV tough guy in mind to play the much-loved character

PEEP Show's boss has revealed that Danny Dyer was originally lined up to play drug casualty Super Hans.
Comedy writer Sam Bain took to his Twitter to make the shock revelation.
Responding to Peep Show star Robert Webb's tweet which revealed unknown secrets about the show including that "Russell Brand had auditioned for Super Hans", he tweeted: "We wrote Super Hans with Danny Dyer in mind."
Fans were quick to comment on the shock revelation.
One gave a nod to the idea, writing: "I could very easily imagine Danny Dyer giving the 'You've been thinking thoughts your whole life, where has that got you!' line to Jez."
But another believed that the right actor had been chosen: "Think you got the casting just right.
"Danny 'I just keep having these mad dreams' Dyer wouldn’t have worked as well.
"Good but not as good. Excellent work, again & again."
Writer Sam also revealed other insider information from the show, including: "The dog leg Rob ate on the canal boat was in fact a turkey leg
"The burglar episode was inspired by me capturing & sitting on a burglar while working in a video shop
"The 1st draft of Quantocking included Johnson committing suicide."
Meanwhile, while he may have missed out on the role in Peep Show, Danny may have another exciting career opportunity in the pipeline.
The EastEnders star has said that a reality show with his daughter Dani and her beau Jack Fincham could be a possibility.
Rumours circulated that the soap actor and his Love Island star offspring were being eyed for a Dyer family series.
The 41-year-old actor has now confirmed they are in talks with telly bosses, and told Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold: "We're going to go and have some meetings about it and we're going to see how we feel about it.
"It could be brilliant, or it could be a car crash.
"We're going to do (something) credible."
But Richard said on GMB today that Danny told him he has more plans to work with his daughter on screen.
Richard said: "He said he'd prefer to do a bit of acting and tread the boards with Dani. But clearly there are a lot of big bucks on the table.
"(The reality show) would be more Osbournes than Kardashians I think."
It comes after Dani, 22, opened up about the possibility on the Capital FM Breakfast Show yesterday.
