What won Best Soap?
Best Soap is always the prize show bosses want to get their hands on.
For three years in a row, Emmerdale has triumphed over its rivals but its run of success came to an end after Coronation Street was awarded the prize after an outstanding 12 months of drama.
Among the most popular storylines from the past year on Weatherfield were Pat Phelan's killing spree, the rape of David Platt and Aidan Connor's suicide.
In total Coronation Street won seven awards, claiming victory in categories including the funniest soap actors and the best bad girl and boy.
Steven Murphy, the editor of Inside Soap, said: "It's been an amazing soap year, so it's a fantastic privilege to name the winners tonight and celebrate the amazing talent we have in British soap."
