Kelly Brook feared she was being catfished when messaging future boyfriend Jeremy Parisi for SIX MONTHS before they met
The cautious TV star forced him to Skype her to prove he really was the hot guy in his Instagram pics - and even then she didn't meet him for half a year
KELLY Brook was so worried she was being catfished when she first chatted to Jeremy Parisi online that she forced him to prove he was real - and messaged him for SIX MONTHS before they met.
Catfishing, for the uninitiated, is where someone uses pictures of other people to chat up potential partners.
The 38-year-old explained how she challenged her now-boyfriend Jeremy, asking: "Is this definitely you?" before getting him to video chat to make sure he was the real deal.
Speaking on her Heart Drivetime show about how she tracked down 33-year-old Jeremy online, the TV star revealed: "I met him on Instagram - it's the way forward.
"I saw a video of him and I thought, 'Oh I wonder if he’s on Instagram.'
"Obviously he was, as everyone is, and I started following him and I saw he followed me back, so I just slipped in to the DMs and I was like, 'Ohhh thank you for the follow.'"
She told her Heart co-host Jason 'JK' King: "I wasn't very cool, I went straight in!
"I didn't want to be catfished so I wanted to make sure it was him and I said to him 'Um, is this definitely you?' and he said, 'Uh, is this definitely you?'
"So I said, 'Well let's Skype.' Then, once I saw it was him, we could have a proper conversation.
"We spoke on social media for about six months. We didn’t really see each other, we were just friends."

However, it seems Kelly's caution has paid off.
She's been dating the French-Italian martial arts instructor, 33, for over three years after going public in 2015.
Jeremy joined a long roll call of hunky men Kelly has has relationships with, starting with actor Jason Statham, 51, who she dated between 1998 and 2004.
She then moved on to Hollywood actor Billy Zane, 52, between 2004 and 2008, even going so far as to get engaged.
Kel then dated rugby player Danny Cipriani, 30, on and off until 2010, before moving on to Strictly star and rugby ace Thom Evans, 33.
The couple were together for two years, with Kelly suffering a miscarriage in 2011, but they split, with Kelly moving on to former Gladiators star David McIntosh, 32.
But by the look of things, it seems Jeremy is for keeps. Hooray for Instagram, eh?
