Simon Cowell reveals son Eric, 4, will have a starring role in tonight’s X Factor final and hints he could join the judging panel

SIMON Cowell has previously hinted he want’s his son to take the reigns of his business – and it seems he wants to get the four year old straight to work with a guest appearance on the 2018 X Factor live final.
The 59-year-old business mogul became a first time father in 2014 as he welcomed his son, Eric, with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman, 41.
Si has previously hinted he would love to hand his music empire to Eric when it comes time to retire.
And, according to reports, it would seem there is no time to waste as Simon intends to set Eric to work on the X Factor final tonight – with speculation rife that he will be given a judging seat.
“Eric is going to more involved than ever, he is about to step into my shoes big time,”
“You’ll see what we do. A few people have gone, ‘You are actually out of your mind’. Probably – but it’s fun. And that’s what I like doing,” the fuzzy chested TV star continued.
Looking ahead, it doesn’t sound like Eric will be given a permanent judges seat – yet.
Simon already has his eyes on X Factor 2019 – as the show was recently renewed to keep running until at least 2022 – and he hopes the current line up of Robbie Williams, Ayda Field and Louis Tomlinson will continue.
“I’ve spoken to Robbie who with Ayda definitely wants to come back, I hope Louis does too. They have all had a great time,” Simon said.
“I’ve known Robbie a long time and it’s no secret we’ve been trying to get him to do the show for years. He says it’s the best job he has ever had because it is fun,” he added.
Simon has previously discussed Eric taking over his career - and hinted last week that he could send Eric into his judging chair this weekend.
“He's in training as you will see over the weekend, I'm getting him ready to do my job,” Simon hinted on This Morning last week.
While last week the Daily Star hinted Simon was already planning a record label for Eric to be involved with.
“Basically if someone came up with a track specifically aimed at kids then they could approach Eric,”

“And if he liked it, then he would work with teams to make it a hit,” they added.
