Katie Price duped me into doing £3,500 of work on pink Barbie car – but won’t pay me or answer my calls

KATIE Price owes a furious garage owner £3,500 after he transformed her Jeep into a Barbie car – but she’s refusing to pay up or answer his calls after failing to uphold her end of the bargain.
The 40-year-old, who has spent the year battling money issues, approached Robbie Orlando from Valet Magic in Camberley, Surrey to pimp up the car in exchange for publicity on her show Katie Price: My Crazy Life.
But despite spending days filming with Robbie, the car didn’t feature in the series – leaving the disgruntled car customizer out of pocket after spending three to four weeks working on her car.
Speaking to The Sun Online about his frustrations he said: “The whole thing leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I feel like I have been duped.
“She owes us about £3,500 and is refusing to answer my calls about it, so I have no choice but to take her to court.”
Katie contacted Robbie – who has worked with Marnie Simpson, Dean Gaffney and Rag'n'Bone Man - via Instagram earlier this year and was desperate to turn her grey car into a Barbie replica so asked whether they would be willing to do it for free.
Robbie, who is used to working with celebrities, readily agreed and even picked up her car as she was banned from driving at the time.
He said: “I trusted her, why wouldn’t I? I’ve never had an issue with stars before. The production team called us to arrange filming and everything was good from our point of view.
“I couldn’t even tell you how many hours we spent working on it, it was with us for a good three or four weeks – we put a hell of a lot of hours into it.
“We did the wheels, the tyres, the suspension – everything. It would be the best part of £3,500.

“We returned the car and spent some more time filming – she was absolutely blown away with the results. It would have made brilliant TV.”
But things turned sour when Robbie realised the car didn’t feature in the series as it was supposed to be.
The car expert continued: “I was peed off, after I watched it I messaged her and she said she was going to find out what has gone on. I never heard from her again.”
Robbie has sent numerous messages to Katie, who has just avoided bankruptcy, and has repeatedly tried to make contact with her representative – but has heard nothing.
“It’s not fair; it’s not even about the money to be honest. It’s not about that, it’s more you know we were offered a deal, the deal got broken and it’s not on. The least she could do is reply.” he said.
“I’ve asked them to pay for the work we’ve done or just give us the Jeep. If I don’t get a reply, the only thing I can do is take her to court.”
The Sun Online has contacted Katie for comment but not heard back.
