Gavin and Stacey stars Larry Lamb and Melanie Walters reunite in new Welsh BBC drama

GAVIN and Stacey stars Larry Lamb and Melanie Walters are reuniting for a new Welsh BBC drama.
The actors played Michael Shipman and Gwen West in the hugely popular Barry Island based show and will be sharing the screen again in Pitching In.
The show focuses on three generations of the same family and is set on a caravan park on the north Wales coast.
It also stars Hayley Mills, Caroline Sheen and Ifan Huw Dafydd.
Speaking about being in the show, Larry, 70, said: "Eleven years after Gavin and Stacey burst onto the scene I'm heading out west again, switching Barry Island for Anglesey this time.
"I'm delighted to be playing the role of Frank in Pitching In - it's a touching, funny and romantic story and a fascinating glimpse of life on the north Wales coast."
He previously revealed other details about the show and his character Frank, who is struggling with being a widower.
He told the : “It's a family comedy drama - but it's about as far removed from Gavin and Stacey as you can imagine.
"Gavin and Stacey was set in the far suburbs of London - it was just filmed in Wales in Barry - while Pitching In is all about life on a leisure park in Anglesey.
"There's an interesting cast of people. Hayley Mills has come in to play a rather manipulating business woman and an old colleague of mine, Melanie Walters that was in Gavin and Stacey with me.”
Gavin & Stacey ran for three series on the BBC from 2007 until 2010.
It was written by starred James Corden – who has found fame across the pond - and Ruth Jones.

Rob Brydon, who also appeared in it, previously told The Sun he believed there could be room for a one-off special.
He explained: “If James and Ruth want to do it then I think we’d all do it.
“It’s them really. I think it’s a real balance between, 'let’s leave it on a high, people love it,' but there’s also a big feeling of, 'oh it would be so lovely to get back together and do a special.”
