What did Azealia Banks say about Irish women on Instagram?

Azealia Banks launched an angry tirade against Aer Lingus staff after failing to board a flight to Dublin on January 23, 2019, ahead of a sold-out gig at The Academy.

She posted a video on Instagram in which she claimed she had been "banned" from the airline after getting off the plane and accused them of treating her "like a wild animal".

She said: "I was trying to find my passport as I didn't have the answers and she was staring at me. I said. 'Don't stare at me'."

She continued: "I get off the plane. I've worked too hard in my life to be cornered by some ugly Irish b***h. They are ugly Irish women here."

She eventually arrived in Dublin via road and ferry.

However despite dedicating her Dublin gig to "beautiful Irish women", Azealia continued her Instagram rant on January 24 by referring to Irish people as "inbred leprechauns" and mocking the Irish famine.

In 2005, Banks famously rowed with a flight attendant calling him a "f***ing f***ot" when she was unable to get off a Delta plane.

What has been said about Azealia Banks?

In 2016 Azealia accused Russell Crowe of choking her and throwing her out of a party.

However fellow rapper RZA defended Russell and claimed he was preventing Azealia from attacking another woman.

On Facebook he wrote: "Azealia threatened to cut a girl in the face with a glass, then actually grabs a glass and physically attacks for no logical reason. Russell blocked the attack and expelled her from the suite.

"Seeing is believing and I saw her behave as an obnoxious erratic individual and in the circles I frequent this was unprecedented."

Azealia was also involved in a Twitter feud with Zayn Malik after she made racist slurs against him and accused him of stealing ideas from her Yubg Rapunxel music video.

Zayn responded by saying: "@AZEALIABANKS why you been saying nasty things about me ? I wasn't talking about you lol?"
