Who is Yalitza Aparicio?
Yalitza is a 25-year-old actress from Tlaxiaco, Oaxaca, Mexico.
She is of indigenous descent with her father being Mixtec and her mother Triqui.
Yalitza is currently nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress thanks to her performance in Roma.
She is the first Indigenous and second Mexican woman to ever get a nomination from the Academy.
What has she been in?
She is actually trained as a pre-school teacher and has no training formal training or experience in acting.
Her leading role in Roma as the character Cleo was her first ever role.
The only other times the beautiful actress has been on any screen was when she was a celebrity guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and when she attended the 76th Golden Globe Awards.
