Corrie’s Julia Goulding marries Ben Silver in front of co-stars at Manchester’s Albert Hall
The Corrie star married her long-term love on stage in front of her soap co-stars

CORRIE’S Julie Goulding married her boyfriend of three years, Ben Silver, at Manchester’s Albert Hall in front of friends, family and co-stars.
The actress and her teacher husband have kept their relationship extremely private, only revealing they were engaged in January - 10 months after Ben popped the question.
Speaking to OK! Julia confessed why they chose Manchester’s Albert Hall for their wedding venue was because the Corrie actress loves being on stage so much.
She said: “I love being on stage and I always wanted to get married on one!’
The loved up couple got engaged in March 2018 but didn’t announce to Julia’s fans until January 2019.
Julia, who plays Shona Ramsey in the long-running soap, told the magazine that she knew Ben was the one just a week after their first date.
The 33-year-old said: “I told Ben I’d marry him a week after our first date!”
Ben, a teacher, added: “We really got to know each other in that week.
“It was ridiculous, as it was 100 miles an hour. We kind of did nothing but everything at the same time.
“At the end of the week I remember telling Julia that I loved her.”
The couple, who have been together for three years, also revealed the reception was a roaring success and everyone, including her cast mates, let their hair down.
Julia said: “At one point, Tina [O’Brien] was trying to do a Dirty Dancing lift with my friend Kylie and Lucy [Fallon, who plays Tina’s on-screen daughter] was shouting: ‘Mum, no don’t!’

“It was carnage by the end. It was ace; everyone let their hair down!”
30-year-old Ben told the magazine that, “As soon as I saw Julia, I just knew it was the best day of my life.”
And instead of the bride being walked down the aisle by her father, the couple decided to walk down together hand in hand.
Julia said: “It was important for us to walk down the aisle together and my parents aren’t traditional.
“My dad didn’t mind not giving me away as he believes I’m my own person. I can totally understand why people do it, but the way we did it felt right for Ben and I.”
