Oscars 2019: Queen open show with incredible performance as they pay tribute to Freddie Mercury
Fronted by Adam Lambert, the band performed one of its most iconic hits
QUEEN kicked off the 91st Oscars tonight with a rocking rendition of their classic hit We Are The Champions.
Fronted by Adam Lambert, the band had the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Bradley Cooper singing along as they belted out the rock anthem.

And in a fitting tribute to the late Freddie Mercury, the flamboyant frontman appeared on the big screen as they ended the song.
Viewers were thrilled with the opening, writing on Twitter: "this is the highest moment in the whole #Oscars history. I'm all tears.

Lambert arrived at the ceremony wearing a Tom Ford suit.
Speaking on the red carpet, he said: "I never would have dreamed this was possible."
The performance kickstarted what is sure to be a memorable night.
