Laurence Fox admits he had to ‘say goodbye to his money’ when he divorced Billie Piper
The actor opened up about the financial strain his divorce had cost him

ACTOR Laurence Fox has admitted his divorce from Billie Piper meant he had to say “goodbye to his money” after an expensive custody battle over their children.
Opening up about the end of his eight-year marriage to the Dr. Who actress, Laurence said it was “hor-rend-dous.”
Speaking to , the dad-of-two said he used “time, forgiveness and compassion” to survive the split."
He added: “It was quite a drastic life change. Goodbye, money! Goodbye, wife! Argh!
“But that which doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, doesn’t it? Obviously, you miss the large bank account but that’s not everything.”
The couple announced they were splitting in March 2016 after eight-years of marriage and their two sons - Winston, 10, and Eugene, six.
Laurence, who is single after splitting from TV presenter Lilah Parsons last year, said the financial blow had been 'horrendous' as he was forced to splurge cash on lawyers during the divorce and custody battle with Billie.
After separating, the former spouses were granted a quickie divorce in May the same year, with the judge taking just 50 seconds to reach a verdict.
Laurence, who starred in the BBC's Lewis, has said in the past that he'd suffered regular anxiety attacks and hit rock bottom after the divorce.

He admitted: "I was certainly in a very dark place at one point – at my lowest ebb. I almost felt like I couldn't go on. It all felt so hopeless…”
Ex-Doctor Who actress Piper has since moved on with Johnny Lloyd, former frontman of indie band Tribes.
The couple welcomed their first child together earlier this year, a daughter named Tallulah.
