MEGAN McKenna broke down in tears as she discussed her relationship with Mike Thalassitis just weeks before his death.
Speaking on Celebs Go Dating, the reality star began crying as she talked about her Love Island ex before admitting she didn’t want to go into any details about their split.
The episode, which aired in February, feature Megan as she was being counselled by dating gurus Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Brunson.
The reality star-turned-country singer became overcome with emotion when she tried to discuss her relationship with Mike Thalassitis, who died on Saturday aged 26.
Megan, also 26, teared up as he spoke about her past relationship with the Love Island contestant on the E4 series.
She said: “I think my last relationship, I was kind of... I think I definitely fell in love.”
Crying, the beauty then admitted she did not want to discuss it further.
“I don't really want to talk about it, sorry,” she sobbed.
“But I feel that's all I want, I want that love back.”
Mike and Megan dated for seven months and confirmed their separation in August after a on-off romance.
Speaking to OK! Magazine about the split, the former-Towie star insisted Mike wasn't a “nasty person” but that the pair were just “different people”.
She said: “I can't even say why we split. I just feel like we're both at different point in our lives.
“We both respect each other and we didn't want it to get nasty or messy.
“There is only so much you can do in a relationship and when it's not working you've got to take separate routes.”
She continued: 'But I wish him all the luck in the world, he's not a nasty person. Everything happens for a reason. It wasn't one of those break-ups like ones I've had in the past where it was really bitter and nasty, this was more a decision we made together.
“The way I dealt with things in the past with my exes was by screaming and that was not a good way to deal with it.”
Police revealed that Mike Thalassitis was found hanged in a park in Edmonton, North London.
His manager confirmed the shock news of his passing on Saturday evening.
Megan is yet to comment on her ex’s tragic death.
