Did Tim Metcalfe survive his heart attack in Coronation Street?

Tim gave the Metcalfe family another shock as he was whisked to hospital after suffering a heart attack. But will he survive it? Here’s what we know…
Poor Tim was looking pretty peaky in Corrie after spending a night on the switchboard at Street Cars.
But when Steve McDonald bribed him with a cooked brekkie from Roy’s, he was persuaded to stay on and work after Eileen Grimshaw called in with a ‘plumbing emergency.’
Tim tempted fate by saying he’d work, even if it killed him. One of the things that should never be said in Soap Land.
He was later seen rifling through the cupboards at home for indigestion tablets, telling Sally that he was suffering after scoffing the breakfast along with lots of junk food during his night shift.
Later, back at the cab office, Tim’s sister-in-law Gina Seddon dropped in and noticed him looking unwell. She was waiting for a cab to take her to the train station because she’s leaving Weatherfield, but was worried about Tim.
When Tim eventually headed home after a 17-hour shift, he was clearly in pain as he hobbled up the stairs looking for more indigestion tablets. Later he was seen clutching his chest and looking very sick indeed while watching the TV with Sally.
Gina then arrived back and said she wouldn’t go anywhere until Tim had seen a doctor.
They were all stunned at the medical centre when the GP said he’d had a mild heart attack and needed to go to hospital immediately.
Tim was whisked away in an ambulance. Later he revealed he had been having pains in his arm and back for a few days. The doctor then revealed that Gina’s quick thinking probably saved Tim’s life. We don’t think we could’ve coped with another death after Rana.
