THE father of Married At First Sight star Jack has been forced to make a grovelling public apology after he was caught looking unimpressed with son’s bride’s looks on TV.
Viewers were horrified as Mark, a buyer on Dickinson's Real Deal, ranted to his wife about how the marriage won't last, with one viewer calling him a "class a t**t".
Writing on Twitter, the father of the groom wrote: “In response to both the good & bad comments made about this week’s #MarriedAtFirstSight, here’s my statement:
"Anyone that knows me understands and appreciates my moral code. I am a happy, loyal and trustworthy individual that wants nothing more than to watch my friends, family & those alike to succeed.
"I made comments that, in hindsight, can be interpreted the wrong way and may have led to the beautiful young lady that married my son to be offended.
"I love and appreciate people of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities and sexual orientations and hope 5 minutes of TV (that had been condenses and cut down from 3/4 months of footage) don’t leave people to believe otherwise."
The father-of-the-groom, who is also a buyer on ITV show Dickinson's Real Deal was caught on camera looking decidedly unimpressed and ranting to his wife about their new daughter-in-law.
Viewers were outraged with his comments about the bride Verity looks as Mark sparked backlash when told the cameras: "I hope she is quite slim, athletic, well-spoken... Hopefully a fun-loving girl."
After the ceremony, the TV star was seen looking unimpressed as he ranted to his wife about how the marriage won't last - snapping that he "knows his son".
His wife replied: "Not everything is based on looks. I married you."

Mark later told the camera: "What Jack normally goes for, it's very, very different.
"It's different to what I am used to for my son."
The comments outraged viewers, with one tweeting: "Can't stand Jack's dad, how shallow can you be! Can’t believe all he cares about is looks."
Another seethed: "His dad is an absolute k***! Verity could do a thousand times better than Jack in terms of looks! She’s far too good for him!"
While one added: "Jack's dad on #mafs, what a class a #t**t. Verity is stunning ♥️
