Behind the scenes of Line Of Duty as stars reveal what really goes on when the cameras aren’t rolling
LINE Of Duty is one of the most talked about shows on the telly, with some incredibly complex and gritty plots.
But when the cameras stop rolling, things couldn’t be more light-hearted on set as the stars Martin Compston, Vicky McLure and Adrian Dunbar get on like a house of fire.
While filming the latest series the cast have treated fans to a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes – including cast nights out, giggles and plenty of tea drinking.
Martin - who plays Steve Arnott on the BBC show - often enjoys jokes when the camera is off.
Showing what they really get up to, he shared a shot of himself sitting on the floor and joked: “Loooooong day at the office. Hastings making us put in the overtime #likethebattle #AC12.”
Another image sees him and Adrian, who plays Ted Hastings, getting their make-up touched up on set.
He revealed they were taking the crew to see the comedian Kevin Bridges that night, proving what a tight knit team they really are.
“Another week down. Taking some of our lovely make up and costume team to Kevin Bridges,” he said.
“As you can see they’ve earned a nite out. Have a top wknd troops! #lineofduty5 (sic).”
On another occasion Martin’s wife Tianna Chanel Flynn came to the set and they posed for a picture together outside his trailer.
Vicky, who plays Kate Fleming, meanwhile offered her own glimpse of what goes on – as she posted a picture of herself having a cup of tea in a AC-12 mug while getting her hair done.
She also revealed that the group love tucking into mini eggs in between scenes.
Other images show her laughing with Adrian while filming in a field as they clutched hot drinks to keep warm.
And it seems they all got on incredibly well with Stephen Graham – who played the undercover cop John Corbett.
Martin in particular is great mates with the actor and shared pictures of them hugging on set.
After filming wrapped the gang got together for a screening of the new series and shared pictures as they sank a few drinks and shared even more laughs.

Next week the dramatic series will come to an end as viewers hopefully find out who H is once and for all.
Clearly upset about the finale, Martin shared a picture of Vicky sulking and wrote: “When there’s only one episode left in the series. Can’t thank you all enough for staying with the show and spreading word! Back next Sunday for the 90minute finale #lineofduty5.”
