How Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow went from the Bastard of Winterfell to dragon-flying Targaryen prince
Jon Snow has earned respect with his sword and now with his shock parentage

JON Snow has come a long way since he was introduced as the Bastard of Winterfell in series one.
The brooding northerner has gone from outcast to hero and after being named King of the North he recently discovered that he is also heir to the Iron Throne.
Jon's story on the show started in Winterfell where he was raised as Ned Stark's bastard.
But he always felt like an outsider and decided to leave Winterfell to become a member of the Night’s Watch.
At The Wall Jon killed a Wight and saved Lord Commander Mormont’s life.
He accompanied the Watch marching beyond the Wall in force to find the missing Benjen Stark.
At the Fist of the First Men they ambushed wilding watchers and Jon hesitated to kill a young woman named Ygritte.
They soon fell for each other - and enjoyed some sweet loving in a cave.
But it's not meant to be and when the wildlings attacked during the Battle of Castle Black, she died in Jon's arms.
After letting the wildlings through Castle Black and into the Seven Kingdoms, Jon marched an army against Ramsay Bolton at Winterfell to take back his childhood home.
He went to Dragonstone to meet Daenerys Targaryen but refused to bend the knee and told her that the Army of the Dead is their true enemy.
They team up back at Winterfell and Samwell Tarly finally told Jon the truth - he is Aegon Targaryen and the true heir to the Iron Throne.
Now Jon and Daenerys have defeated the Night King at the Battle of Winterfell, they are expected to march south to fight Cersei Lannister for the Iron Throne.
