PIERS Morgan says Soccer Aid was the best night of his life after his 'Rest of the World' side won a dramatic penalty shootout against Susanna Reid's England.
The 54-year-old, who was co-managing the team for the night with Harry Redknapp, was carried aloft by his group of celeb stars following a victory inspired by a stunning late goal from Love Island's Kem Cetinay.
England took a comfortable lead at the start of the charity game thanks to two goals from freestyle footballer Jeremy Lynch.
However, Usain Bolt got the Rest of the World team back with a canny goal, before 23-year-old Kem side-stepped Chelsea legend John Terry and curled in a shot that left the match 2-2.
Susanna Reid and Sam Allardyce's England side wound up losing on penalties - with comedian Lee Mack missing the last spot kick.
Piers, whose players included Niall Horan and Line of Duty star Martin Compston, shared a snap on Twitter writing: "Greatest night of my life".
The Life Stories host has regularly slammed Love Island Contestants as "brain dead", but jokingly roared: "Suddenly I LOVE Love Island!"
With characteristic modesty, Piers shared a picture of afterwards himself lifting the Soccer Aid shield while comparing himself to the Premier League's best managers.
He wrote: "Guardiola. Klopp. Morgan."
During the half-time show, singer Rita Ora put on a glitzy performance with fireworks, before catching up with pal Niall Horan.
The match, which is staged for charity, raised a staggering £6.7 million for Unicef.
Piers is sure to be absolutely unbearable in the days to come - especially after besting his Good Morning Britain co-host.
Susanna shared a picture herself looking grumpy alongside a gloating Piers, writing: "Guess who won?"
