Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard set to land new TV role on The Greatest Dancer – as the receptionist

LOVE Island contestant Curtis Pritchard is set to star in BBC1 talent show The Greatest Dancer, The Sun can reveal.
The professional ballroom dancer, 23, has been in talks with producers of the Saturday primetime programme, made by Simon Cowell’s Syco, to replace the receptionist.
In the first series it was played by TV producer Amelia Wilson, who fans praised for her banter with the hopeful before they auditioned.
It is thought Curtis, who came fourth alongside girlfriend Maura Higgins, 28, is likely to sign a formal contract in the next few weeks — before auditions begin later this year.
A source said: “The BBC and Simon were keen to get involved in the frenzy that is Love Island and thought Curtis went down well with viewers.
“The receptionist role sounds a small one but it’s important first port of call for contestants when they appear on the show and their interactions with Curtis will set them up nicely before they go out in front of the dance captains.”
Cheryl Tweedy, 36, Oti Mabuse, 28, and Matthew Morrison, 40, all appeared in the first series of the show — in what was Simon Cowell’s first project with the BBC.
All three ‘captains’ are expected to return — as well as hosts Alesha Dixon, 40, and Jordan Banjo, 26.
The brother of Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ was on the Irish equivalent Dancing With The Stars.
Curtis was one of the few stars of the ITV2 show to make it to the final.
