Snoop Dogg, 50, captioned the photo: "Thank you god for giving me an angel for a mother," with emojis of hearts and a rose.

In another , the Training Day actor captioned the photo: "Mama thank you for having me."
The two were pictured together for a sweet embrace.
The rapper's father, Vernell, also confirmed the tragic news, according to .

'SHE STILL FIGHTING'
Back in July, Snoop thanked his fans for their prayers and well-wishes for his ailing mother.
He had shared a health update on her behalf amid her hospitalization on .
The music star wrote: "Happy Sunday me and my brothers went to see mama today and she opened up her eyes to see us and let us know she still fighting,"
He added: "God is good. Thanks for all the prayers onr day at a time."
In the photo, he gently touched his mother's forehead as she laid in a hospital bed.

'A MOTHER'S LOVE'
He then updated his fans about his mother back in May.
He wrote: “Sending special prayers out for my mom this morning y’all pray for her and me.”
The Doggy Dogg world rapper uploaded several pictures with his mother.
In one of the posts, he wrote: “A mother’s love is precious.”
Snoop placed a kiss on his mother’s cheeks.
He updated his followers with another picture and wrote: “Need all my prayer warriors for momma right now please and thank you.”
In another post, he continued: “Mama thank you for having me, could of gave me up but you raised a family.”

Back in July, rap pioneer Biz Markie had passed away at the age of 57 following his battle with diabetes.
