ELON Musk and Grimes secretly welcomed their second child just months after their split, it has been revealed.
Grimes, born Claire Elise Boucher, shared the surprising news in her cover story published on Thursday.
The singer and the boss secretly welcomed a baby girl last December via surrogate - a few months after she and the tech mogul split after three years together.
After first playing off the sounds of a crying infant, Grimes told the publication: “I’m not at liberty to speak on these things.
"Whatever is going on with family stuff, I just feel like kids need to stay out of it, and X is just out there."
Nonetheless, she then confirmed that she and Musk had welcomed a daughter, who she only referred to as Y.

While the Vanity Fair journalist noted that they didn’t feel comfortable asking the singer for the baby’s full name, Grimes later revealed in a text that her daughter’s name is Exa Dark Sideræl Musk.
“It’s fire,” she told the publication via text, adding: “Her full name is Exa Dark Sideræl Musk.”
According to Vanity Fair, Exa refers to the supercomputing term exaFLOPS, while Dark refers to “the unknown.”
“People fear it but truly it’s the absence of photons. Dark matter is the beautiful mystery of our universe,” Grimes explained.

Sideræl, which Grimes pronounced “sigh-deer-ee-el,” is a “more elven” spelling of sidereal, the “true time of the universe, star time, deep space time, not our relative earth time,” the singer added.
According to Grimes, the name choice also references her favorite Lord of the Rings character, Galadriel, who she noted “chooses to abdicate the ring.”
The Kill V Maim singer also revealed that the pair want more kids, telling Vanity Fair that they’ve “always wanted at least three or four.”
MUSK AND GRIMES' ON-OFF RELATIONSHIP
Initially, the singer told the publication that the pair were back together in some capacity; however, Grimes revealed that she and Musk have split again.
“Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now,” Grimes tweeted Thursday.
“I think Devin wrote that part of the story rly well. Sique – peace out.”
revealed to last September that the pair were "semi-separated" but remain on good terms.
“We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently, and are on great terms,” the SpaceX founder told the outlet of their split.
He continued: “It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA.
"She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.”
The couple began dating back in May 2018 and made their debut at the Met Gala that year.
Two years later, on May 5, 2020, the pair announced the arrival of their first child - Musk's sixth.
The pair initially named their baby boy X Æ A-12.
The name appeared to be partially inspired by one of the songs from Grimes' last album - 4ÆM.

Unfortunately for the pair, the name was not in accordance with state law, as the law prohibits Indo-Arabic numerals in names.
To comply with the law, they changed the name to X Æ A-Xii.\
