Similar to his father, Bertie McIntosh lends a helping hand to the production of his mother's later music releases.
While on stage at the Hammerstein Apollo in London, England, Kate credited Bertie as the inspiration for her later work.
The Running Up That Hill singer said at the concert: "Without my son Bertie, this would never have happened.
"Without his encouragement and enthusiasm, particularly in the early stages when I was very frightened to commit to pushing the 'go' button, I'm sure I would have backed out."
She further revealed to the audience: "Throughout he has been my chief consultant, my editor, my confidant.
"In order for him to be part of this, which has always been part of the deal, he has had to work really hard in order to keep his school commitments as well as his commitments to the show."
