Who is Love Island’s Marvin Brooks?
Marvin Brooks is a 29-year-old personal trainer and former royal navy officer from Bournemouth.
His is a fitness enthusiast, who rates himself a 8.7 out of ten due to his muscular physique and sun-kissed tan.
He is also listed as a current player at Poole Town FC.
His best qualities include him being “very ambitious” and “honest” but his worst traits could outshine the good.
He said: “I speak my mind but that can upset people sometimes. I am very quick to judge and sometimes do that too quickly. I’m not very empathetic either.”
He has spent the last ten to 12 years of his life searching for someone he could fall head over heels for and is hoping to find that on Love Island.
Marvin has a large social media following with 3,000 people subscribing to his Instagram page () before he entered the villa.
He is an avid traveller, who has been to Dubai, Portugal, Paris and Italy in the past year.

What happened to Marvin Brooks on Love Island?
- Marvin made his Love Island debut in episode 23, with the ex royal navy officer arriving in Casa Amor with five other hunky men.
- The personal trainer made his move on Maura Higgins in episode 25, despite Dennon Lewis showing an interest in the brunette beauty.
- His grafting paid off as he walked into the original villa coupled up with Maura.
- His time could be up soon, as Maura has turned her attention to Curtis Pritchard.
- Maura cooled things off with Marvin alongside pal Lucie Donlan who ended things with George Rains in an awkward four-way chat.
- He escaped the next elimination.
- Marvin thought he'd try his luck with Amber Gill but was swiftly put in his place.
- The former navy officer was kicked off the show in episode 34, as Maura Higgins chose to give new boy Chris Taylor a chance at love.
What's happened to Marvin after leaving the villa?
Fans of the show are begging Marvin to get together with heartbroken Amy Hart.
Amy, 26, posted a gushing tribute on Instagram to the hunk she met in Casa Amor.
Amy looked cosy in a throwback picture sitting next to Marv at the Love Island reunion show.
She wrote: "Happy 30th Birthday to my mainmanmarv wouldn’t have got through the last 5 weeks without you."
But pals have said he's too shy to make a move as he's afraid of getting knocked back.
A source told The Sun Online: "Marv has got a lot of chat, but deep down he can be quite shy when it comes to the ladies.
"He's not the loudest one in the group and let's his pals usually take charge with it comes to the girls.
"He likes Amy but he's still a bit scarred from his Amber rejection.
The pair hit it off after meeting in Casa Amor - and have been friends ever since as Marvin has been there for her as she got over her heart-breaking split from 'half-boyfriend' Curtis Pritchard who later moved on with Maura Higgins.
However, before entering the villa Marvin revealed he preferred brunettes and hoped to get to know Anna Vakili and Lucie.
Speaking to ITV producers, he said: “My type I’ve always said is brunette. Anna has definitely caught my eye.
“But then recently Lucie has as I feel like she’s very similar to me in the sense that if she doesn’t want to hang around with a group she won’t force herself to do, which I’ve admired.
Marvin’s celebrity crush is Jessica Alba and his turn off in a woman is “acting stupid and playing the fool”.

A winter version of the show is expected in early 2020.
