ANOTHER recoupling showdown rocked the villa in last night’s episode of Love Island while Chris had tried his luck at getting with Amber.
Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury were treated to a night in the Hideaway, which brought back memories for the couple since it was the first place they met - but what else occurred?
The dirty dancing challenge in episode 33 left all the Islanders talking, with Amber Gill feeling good about the fact that she had left Michael Griffiths' heart racing with her raunchy dance routine.
The results proved that Michael's heart rate was raised most by Amber’s dancing, which put the firefighter in an awkward position given that he’s been coupled up with social media influencer Joanna Chimonides for the past week.
During a chat with his good pal Jordan Hames, Michael raised his concerns regarding his feelings for Amber, having told the model: “Amber was the girl I was interested in and now my heart rate has been raised most by her. It’s not ideal.”
Jordan told Michael that he personally didn’t see the connection between him and Joanna, adding that when the firefighter was with Amber, there appeared to be undeniable chemistry.
He explained: “From what I’ve seen, you and Joanna don’t have as much chemistry as you and Amber did. If you did change your mind, there would be nothing wrong with that.”
Elsewhere, Molly-Mae and Tommy were treated to a night in the Hideaway - a decision made by their fellow Islanders, following a text which read: “Islanders. Tonight, the Hideaway is open. It’s down to you to choose one lucky couple to have a sleepover. #privatedance #aloneatlast”
In the Beach Hut, the blonde bombshell recalled how the Hideaway was the first place she met Tommy, explaining that “it was like we were revisiting an old friend. We had our first little jacuzzi date there!”
Chris Taylor turned his attention to Amber, despite previously taking Maura Higgins and Belle Hassan on a date.
With an enormous amount of confidence, Chris laid it on thick, telling the beauty technician: “I actually wanted to take you on a date yesterday. But I had a think about it and I don’t know where your head is at with the whole Michael thing.”
He continued: “I didn’t want to go in too soon and start something when your head's not in it.”
Interestingly enough, Amber warmed up to Chris during their conversation, but it didn’t seem as if it was enough for her to be officially over Michael.
Meanwhile, the boys took part in the latest challenge, which consisted of all the guys going head-to-head over three rounds to obtain as many “lad points” as possible.
And lastly, as all of the contestants relaxed in the garden, they were stunned to learn that another recoupling showdown was set to rock the villa later in the evening, with the girls deciding who they wanted to couple up with.
Marvin Brooks and Curtis Pritchard stressed their worries to Francesca Allen, who they knew hadn’t really formed a connection with any of the boys yet - so, in an apparent attempt to win her over before the recoupling, it was plotting time for the fellas.
In the Beach Hut, Francesca definitely felt torn between both Marvin and Curtis, well aware that they both weren’t coupled up, putting them both in the danger zone.
She said: “It’s so hard. I need to go with my gut on what feels right and who I think has the potential to make me the happiest person I can be.”
The brunette from Essex ended up picking Curtis, subsequently sending Marvin out of the villa and on the next flight back to the UK.
