LOVE Island fans cringed as Jordan Hames told the boys he wanted to ask Anna Vakili to be his "chick".
Tonight's episode of the ITV2 dating show saw the 24-year-old model admit that he is ready to take things to the next level with Anna.
However, his choice of language took away from the potentially romantic moment, with viewers at home horrified when he used the word "chick" instead of "girlfriend".
Speaking to the other boys, Jordan said: "I want to ask Anna to be my chick.
"I want to make a gesture now and it’ll be special and something we can remember."
Fans flocked to social media to react to the comment, with many comparing it to the hit 1950s'-themed musical Grease.
One wrote: "'Be my chick', Lord I just cringed so bad".
Another asked: "'My chick', Jordan are you 10?"
A third said: "'I want to ask her to be my chick' sorry is this Grease??"
Later in the show, Jordan took Anna on a romantic tour of the villa to point out all of the key locations from their relationship.
At the swing seat, Jordan pointed out that it was where they had their first kiss.
He then told her: "I’ve never trusted anyone as much as I’ve trusted you. I am amazed by you. I feel like I’m falling for you.
Jordan then added: "I wanted to ask you to be my girlfriend."

The hunk was thrilled when Anna agreed to his proposal, saying "Of course" as she grinned while kissing him.
To celebrate the news, all of the other excited Islanders ran into the pool fully clothed.
Jordan later told the Beach Hut: "Man's got a girlfriend now."
Anna replied: "Oh my god, I can't believe it - I am still in shock."
