FANS have been left reeling over the shocking new that The Great British Bake Off is leaving the BBC for Channel 4.
The baking show's departure from the national broadcast has become the biggest thing since Brexit to divide the nation.
The so-called 'Breadxit' has stirred up emotions around the country, with some fans just not able to cope.
Channel Four announced today it had won the rights to the popular baking show, and the first series it would air would be a celebrity special for Stand Up To Cancer.
The regular format will return in 2018.
Jay Hunt, Channel 4’s Chief Creative Officer said the channel was "very proud" to be Bake Off's new home.
But some fans just couldn't handle the news, with some calling for Jeremy Corbyn to do something about it after the announcement.
Others simply comfort ate to get through the pain.
Some even predicted Brits would be taking to the streets in protest of the change.
Some had more practical worries.
But a number of fans got into the spirit of the move and began tweeting suggestions for some C4/Bake Off cross over shows.
Some fans are excited for the new Bake Off journey with one writing "What's the big deal? I'm sure C4 will do a good job with Bake Off."
Richard McKerrow, Love Productions Creative Director said the company had found "the perfect new home" for the hit show, adding: "It’s tremendously exciting to have found a broadcaster who we know will protect and nurture the Great British Bake Off for many years to come.”
