STUNNING singer Kimberley Walsh admits her Girls Aloud band mates are seriously excited about the imminent arrival of her second child.
Talking exclusively to The Sun Online about her pregnancy, Kimberley’s in no doubt the girls will spoil the new addition to her family.
She says: “We spend lots of time together and they absolutely love Bobby so I have no doubt that they’ll spoil the new baby too!”
Rumours are rife Cheryl is also expecting a child with her boyfriend Liam Payne but Kimberley declines to comment, saying: “She’s one of my best friends and I never speak about her personal life.”
Kimberley, who’s already mum to two-year-old Bobby, is getting closer to her due date and is more radiant than ever.
She explains: “The pregnancy’s going well.
“The first few months were a little rough as it always is for everyone, but overall I seem to be quite lucky and not suffer too much. I’m just excited to meet the new baby soon.”
Along with her husband Justin Scott, the pair have been busy helping Bobby understand he's going to get a sibling.
Kimberley says: “He’s only two so he’s a little young to really understand what it means to be a big brother, but he knows that there’s a baby in my tummy and he knows that there will be a new baby coming, so we’re just trying to get him used to the idea that it won’t be just him anymore.
“We’re talking to him about it, involving him in the process as much as we can.
I say things like ‘we’re going to change the baby’s nappy together’ or ‘we’re going to play with the baby together’.”
Kimberley is speaking to The Sun Online at the launch of Pampers-UNICEF joint Amazing Babies “1 Pack = 1 Vaccine” campaign.
The successful venture is now in its 11th year and the campaign aims to help eliminate maternal and newborn tetanus worldwide.
34-year-old Kimberley explains: “It’s such a fantastic campaign which I’m very proud to be supporting.
“The reason I’m so passionate about this campaign and that it’s important for people to get involved is that mums and dads can make a very real difference by doing nothing more than buying the Pampers that they need for their little ones.
“Those simple actions have meant that 500,000 babies lives have been already saved from maternal and newborn tetanus! It’s phenomenal and makes me feel very proud of what we can achieve together.”
Simply buying one pack of Pampers nappies is equal to one donation, a concept Kimberley believes is at the heart of the campaign’s success.
She adds: “In the last 11 years, we’ve achieved amazing things – maternal and newborn tetanus has been eliminated in 19 countries.
“By simply buying packs of Pampers with the UNICEF logo, parents can make a genuine difference and continue to support our wish to eliminate maternal and newborn tetanus everywhere.”
