Stunning trio of Aston Martin V12 Vanquish ‘modern classics’ up at auction, and set to go for eye-watering price

THREE jaw-dropping Aston Martin models are set to go under the hammer at a UK auction later this month.

Two of the stunning trio come with the added bonus of being among the first and last of the Vanquish model line - with both boasting minimal delivery mileage.

2001 Aston Martin V12 Vanquish Pre-Production

The first car is a 2001 model, and it’s been confirmed by the Aston Martin Heritage Trust as one of the first examples currently road registered.

Not many of the final batch of twenty-two V12 PP (pre-production) cars survived, which means any that come up for sale are much sought after.

Four of the PP models were featured in the James Bond film Die Another Day, although were all heavily modified for filming.

Finished in Skye Silver with a black leather interior, #PP09 was first registered to its sole and only keeper, Aston Martin Lagonda, on the 28th of February 2001, while the immaculate supercar has only covered just over 400 miles.

By 2007, Aston Martin were well into Vanquish production and conjuring up exclusive special editions to tempt buyers.

The 2+2 Ultimate Edition offers two extra seats in the rear which boosts practicality, and the car up for sale with Silverstone Auctions is number 40 out of a total of 50 versions produced.

Each Ultimate Edition was available by special request to customers, and the whole allocation was sold within a couple of weeks - with just twenty in right-hand drive and thirty cars with the steering wheel on the left.

The cars came in special Ultimate Black paint, a shade described as ‘black with a hint of red and blue’, while inside each model was also fitted with personalised sill plaques showing its limited-edition number.

With just over 300 miles covered in total, this particular Aston special edition is up for £145k to £165k.

The most modern of this trio of Aston Martin supercars is the V12 Vantage S.

With 563bhp on offer, it’s certainly not short on power, while it’s only travelled 7,700 miles from new.

Aston introduced the S model in 2013 and, with a claimed 0-62mph time of just 3.9 seconds, the V12 Vantage S was the fastest production Aston Martin ever, equalling the very special One-77.

The Vantage S is guided at £80k to £90k, and is the cheapest of the three UK supercars.
