New Year's resolution idea: keep the door locked during a live interview

It's undeniable that children have played a major role in delivering the news on television this year.

Undisputed TV stars are Professor Rober Kelly's son and daughter, who burst in on their dad's live BBC interview about South Korean politics.

On the other side of the pond, a boy stunned viewers by replying "wouldn't you like to know weather boy?" to a Fox News reporter who had asked him on live television about the best firework to buy.

And then that time a real weather reporter was interrupted by a little child who walked into the studio right in the middle of the forecast.

But also it's been the year of some serious gaffes for which broadcasters could blame no one but themselves.

Like the hilarious moment when a BBC World host Tom Donkin runs out of the studio and doesn't seem to find the right camera to speak into.

Some reporters also experienced some big pronunciation problems with words as difficult as "Di Caprio" or "horrific".

And, proving that journalism is still a stressful job after all, a poor cameraman just couldn't contain his distress after a bus blocked his perfectly framed shot of the Georgia Dome right when the structure was demolished in a controlled implosion.
