Why is Nani not in the squad?

PORTUGAL manager Fernando Santos announced his final 23-man squad shortly before the start of the tournament.

There were a few shocks with Nani and Renato Sanches missing out in the final squad.

It appears that the manager decided to chose youth over experience with Andre Silva and Goncalo Guedes chosen to play alongside captain Cristiano Ronaldo.
