SAM ALLARDYCE was spotted all alone feasting on a burger in a London pub as he watched England rout Panama.

He of course was the man who was England boss for one match at the start of the World Cup Qualifying campaign, before a newspaper sting led to his sacking.

As Harry Kane's hat-trick helped lead the Three Lions to a thumping 6-1 victory and qualification to the knockout stages, Big Sam was left to reflect on what could have been.

The clip, unsurprisingly, has gone viral on social media - but it might not be as spectacular as it first appears.

Allardyce was at the Lord Ragland pub in Holborn, where he was filming some promotional work for bookies William Hill.

While many on social media love the fact that the 63-year-old brought his own 'Big Mac' into the boozer, this has also being disputed.

The reports that Big Sam actually gorged on a 'Greene King 1966 burger' which contained 'pulled roast hog meat, stuffing, apple sauce, burger sauce and lettuce'.

Whatever the story behind the somewhat sad clip, Twitter users absolutely love it.

One wrote that Allardyce will have "put a pound in the jukebox and played It Should've Been Me," while Ben Palmer wrote that "it just seems sad."

Johnny Proctor wrote that he is "an absolute maverick of a man", while another person added that "it's sensational".
